Take Flight is the first course created by the South East Melbourne Phoenix e-learning program Flight Path.
Take Flight is a brand new e-learning course that combines the skills and behaviours required to succeed in elite sport, and apply them in a way that equips year 8 and 9 students with the mindset, skills and performance behaviours to excel in life.
Kyle Adnam and his South East Melbourne Phoenix teammates share their experiences and insights into their own personal development and that of the team.
In addition to athlete storytelling, the program utilizes interactive activities, quizzes, and a digital activity book to deliver a unique learning experience for students that is aligned to current Victorian curriculum.
Take Flight Year 8 focuses on individual performance and developing the skills that allow students to be successful now and into the future.
Students explore their own personal brand, investigate growth mindset strategies, identify resilient behaviours and implement performance planning tactics to achieve identified goals.
Take Flight Year 9 takes a deep dive into collaborative practices and performing within a team.
Students will develop their understanding of leadership, teamwork, managing their own and others’ emotions and conflict resolution before engaging in group activities that will put their learning to the test.
There is no cost to complete the Take Flight program.
