South East Melbourne Phoenix import Gary Browne has been working hard to get back to playing with his teammates for the remainder of the NBL23 season.
Browne strained his calf in round 11 against the Sydney Kings and has been sidelined since. Unsure of his expected return, Browne says he will be back “hopefully soon”.
“I’m feeling better, day by day they’ve done a great job at rehabbing the leg and I’m getting better,” Browne said.
“We’ve just got to test it every day and improve it every day.
Import @Gbrowne14 has been working hard in Melbourne while the team has been away, pushing to re-join them on the court as soon as possible. 👊

“It was just from a regular step, it was nothing drastic.
“We’ve been working very hard in terms of my conditioning and strength…and we’re just being precautious of the injury.”
Phoenix sits fifth on the ladder with an 11-9 record and Browne is eager to play with his teammates again to finish off the season strong.
South East Melbourne play the Cairns Taipans on Sunday at 4:00pm AEDT.
