Want to be part of the action with the South East Melbourne Phoenix?

Become an integral part of the team and join the Heartland Crew! The Heartland Crew are the Phoenix’s superstar team of volunteers who help put on one of the best shows in town! On one day, you could be helping facilitate the incredible pre-game show, and then the next be on-court as one of the floor wipers.

There is a role for everyone and it’s a great way to socialise, make lifelong friends and be part of a team.

Volunteer of the Year Award

Every season the Phoenix award their "Volunteer of the Year" award to the volunteer that most exemplifies the Phoenix values. The Phoenix Community team choose the winner based on:

• Fulfilled their role with passion, professionalism, and enthusiasm.
• Demonstrated initiative and reliability as an individual and as a part of a team.
  
• Championing the cause of the Phoenix, capturing the sense of community and inclusion of others in their behaviours and actions.
  
• Evidence of leadership by working towards the greatness in self and others
  
• Always striving to excel above and beyond their expected voluntary role
