Heartland Hoops is Back for June/July School Holidays

South East Melbourne Phoenix’s Heartland Hoops are around the corner for the June/July school holidays.
We have teamed up with select venues in the Heartland to bring the fun for all junior basketballers - all clubs, ages, and experience levels welcome.
Heartland Hoops is proud to provide an all-inclusive learning environment for all basketball loving campers, youth and wheelchair hoopers. Participants will get the opportunity to meet some of their Phoenix heroes, make new friends and learn new skills from our experienced Heartland Hoops coaches in a fun and welcoming environment. We're sure to have an event that fits your family's schedule these holidays.

We kick-off in week one with the return of our favourite Phoenix Wheelchair Inclusion Day, great for all ages, delivered in partnership with Basketball Victoria and Hawthorn Football Club.
Our staple one and two day junior camps are back once again, great for all junior basketballers (beginners and intermediate) to learn and develop their skills.
These holidays we are excited to launch our new session Coach Mitchell’s Playbook – Train Like the Phoenix with Phoenix Head Coach, Simon Mitchell. Your chance to learn directly from our Head Coach Simon who has over 20 years’ experience at the professional level. Recommended for intermediate-experienced juniors 12 and above.
First week camps include:
- Wheelchair Inclusion Day – June 27th – State Basketball Centre – 12pm-2:30pm
- 2 Day Junior Camp – June 27th and June 28th – State Basketball Centre – 9:30am-3:30pm
- Session with Simon Mitchell – June 28th – State Basketball Centre – 1pm-3pm
- 1 Day Junior Camp – July 1st – Sommerville Recreation Centre – 9:30am-3:30pm
(Register now to one of 10 camps across the South East of Melbourne.)
The second week of the school holidays sees our one and two junior camps for 5-12 year old’s will take place across the South East Melbourne region over the winter break.
Second week camps include:
- 2 Day Junior Camp – July 4th and July 5th – Cardinia Life Stadium – 9:30am-3:30pm
- 2 Day Junior Camp – July 6th and July 7th – Sportlink Vermont South – 9:30am-3:30pm
- 1 Day Junior Camp – July 8th – Sommerville Recreation Centre – 9:30am-3:30pm
- 1 Day Junior Camp – July 8th – State Basketball Centre – 9:30am-3:30pm
Heartland Hoops is once again teaming up with Darebin Phoenix for a collaboration two day Junior Camp.
