It was a record-breaking day for the South East Melbourne Phoenix.

During it’s annual SEN Membership Day, more than 400 new members signed up to become part of the Phoenix family in NBL24 - shattering the previous record.

Phoenix players Mitch Creek and Craig Moller featured on the SEN coverage throughout Monday, as did head coach Mike Kelly and chief executive Tommy Greer.

Greer thanked the loyal fanbase for their support and encouraaged everyone else to jump on board for what will be an exciting season ahead.

“It was incredible to see the membership number rise and rise, I think people are just excited about what’s happening at the Phoenix,” Greer said.

“We are so close to breaking the club’s all-time record and that’s just testament to what we’ve done as a club off-court in acquiring a great coach and some brilliant players.

“There’s never been a better time to be on board with the Phoenix as we charge towards that maiden NBL title.”

The Phoenix are close to breaking the 4,000 members mark, which would be their highest-ever tally.
