'Best in Class' Hunter on his Title-Winning Pedigree

After adding superstar Nathan Sobey and two-time champion Angus Glover to the roster, the Phoenix plucked Jordan Hunter to fill their sizeable hole at the five spot.
And what they’ve got is the best in the business in the post.
“I think I’m as good as it gets out of the pick and roll, I’m hoping to help guys get open and I’ll hopefully finish a few off for them as well,” Hunter told Phoenix Media.
The 27-year-old is coming to the South East off the back of a career-best season, having scored more points, pulled in more rebounds and registered more assists than ever before.
Importantly, Hunter comes with championship experience, part of the Sydney Kings back-to-back title wins, albeit having been injured for one of them.
And that winning pedigree forms part of Hunter’s broad appeal.
“What I’ve discovered is winning is a muscle and it can go both ways.”
“At the pointy end of the season, there’s something else that has to come out, what that is exactly I don’t know, but you see it in the teams that get it done.
“Hopefully that can rub off on guys that haven’t had that experience, and hopefully I can bring a little but of it.”
Hunter is currently plying his trade in northern Europe with Rigas Zelli in Latvia before he heads back home for his wedding in July.
And it’s the Phoenix fans in the Heartland that excites Hunter the most.
“It’s a special fan base, the passion of the guys in green has been awesome to see.”
“They have the regional games and fans across the state which is cool, I’m stoked to be a part of it.”
Hunter will link up with his new teammates when pre-season starts in July.
