The South East Melbourne Phoenix are excited to announce their new partnership with Coverforce Insurance Brokers for the NBL21 season.
Coverforce is Australia’s largest privately owned insurance broker and have joined forces with the Phoenix as an Official Partner for the upcoming season.
With both Coverforce and the Phoenix holding strong family and community values, the partnership sees the alignment of the brands to build on a successful inaugural year for the Phoenix.
As an Official Partner of the club, Coverforce will also have Naming Rights of Phoenix’s Volunteer program, The Heartland Crew. With branding on volunteer t-shirts, as well as across the numerous volunteer development strategies, including weekly meet and greets with players, Coverforce will ensure the Heartland Crew are supported, just like the businesses and individuals they help insure.
Phoenix CEO Tommy Greer says securing the partnership with Coverforce is another positive step for the club.
“We’re delighted to have Coverforce jump on board and show faith in us for our second season in the NBL,” Greer said.
“Our club simply couldn’t operate without the incredible work of the Heartland Crew and to get the support of Coverforce is a testament to the amazing contribution our volunteers make.
“Coverforce pride themselves on delivering excellence in all parts of their organisation and to their stakeholders, which is a commitment we feel like we connect with through our work within our growing Heartland community.”
Coverforce CEO, Jim Angelis said “South East Melbourne is the heartland of basketball in Australia and we are very proud to support the SEM Phoenix, especially during these challenging times.”
He also added, “The alignment of core values between Coverforce and the SEM Phoenix made it an easy decision to jump on board as a sponsor. Go Phoenix!”
Over 110 volunteers participated in the NBL20 season with those who attended all 14 home games contributing up to 80 hours towards a successful season.
The Coverforce Heartland Crew is still active in the off-season, creating a community of like-minded people looking to help the Phoenix achieve the entertaining gameday experience they are widely regarded for. Registrations for the Coverforce Heartland Crew are open for the upcoming season HERE.
