The South East Melbourne Phoenix have today elevated Daniel Foster to the main roster, with the guard signing a two-year contract.
Foster, who signed a Development Player contract in April, has been upgraded after showing outstanding growth through the off-season and pre-season.
The Perth-born guard joined the Phoenix following his college career in the NCAA with the Nevada Wolf Pack. The 24-year-old has worked closely with the Phoenix coaching and high-performance staff in recent months, culminating in his promotion ahead of the new campaign.
Phoenix General Manager of Basketball Operations Simon Mitchell praised Foster’s commitment and professionalism.
“Since signing with the Phoenix in a development role, Daniel has quickly earned the respect of his teammates and coaching staff,” Mitchell said.
“Daniel brings a great attitude, competes at a high level, and is a fantastic teammate. We’re really looking forward to his continued development over the next two years.”
Foster fills the final spot on the Phoenix’s main roster for the season, with the club still able to sign additional development players.
