It may be hard to believe but the South East Melbourne Phoenix are in only their third year of existence. The journey so far has had plenty of ups and downs, for a start-up to launch and then go into two seasons affected by a global pandemic is an enormous challenge.
Having sponsors along for the journey has been crucial to the teams' success and Deep Heat has been with South East Melbourne Phoenix since season number one.
Not only was their support as a sponsor in years one and two pivotal to what South East Melbourne Phoenix have been able to accomplish, but in this third covid affected season, it has been Deep Heat’s range of Joint and Muscle Health Solutions as well as sub-brand ICE which includes Injury Management and Muscle Recovery Solutions that have helped the team be in the fight for the finals.
Deep Heat is proud to launch two new products in the last year being Deep Heat Sensocream and Pain Relief Naproxen Liquid Capsules. Deep Heat Sensocream is a topical cream for the relief of muscular pain and contains 5 naturally derived active ingredients, is dermatologically tested and cruelty free. Pain Relief Naproxen from the makers of Deep Heat is a new oral pain management solution that comes in the form of soft gel liquid capsules and provides pain relief for up to 12 hours!
“In a season that has ended up with a condensed schedule, the support of Deep Heat and their products have helped our team recover in and play several games over a very short period of time,” Phoenix CEO Tommy Greer said.
During one stretch this season the Phoenix played six games in just four weeks.
Deep Heat is an iconic Australian brand that has supported the active lifestyles of Australians for over 60 years. There’s an array of formats available from creams, gels, patches, sprays, and oral pain relief, all to help with joint and muscle health and get people back into the game.
“To have Deep Heat on board since the beginning and remain an integral partner of ours is important. They have supported us from the first year until present and always helping out our team when they need that extra help to recover,” Phoenix CEO Tommy Greer said.
