The Phoenix return home from their road trip over at the start of 2025 2-1 and climb to fifth on the NBL ladder.
In their first home game for 2025, the Phoenix will travel down the South Gippsland highway to Traralgon for their annual Gippsland game at Gippsland Regional Indoor Stadium in conjunction with the Latrobe City Council and Victorian State Government.
The Phoenix are 2-1 at GRISS, as they look to rectify their tough loss in NBL24 to the Illawarra Hawks and keep their dominance at the regional venue.
Josh King’s side is yet to claim a win over the Bullets but will be looking to finally get the chocolates over Brisbane and cement their spot in the top six.
The Bullets are coming into Gippsland after a nine-point win over the New Zealand Breakers, even with being a few bodies down.
TEAMS
Phoenix
The Phoenix will go into the game with a full squad.
Bullets
The Bullets will be without centre Tyrell Harrison (concussion) but will regain Next Star Rocco Zikarsky and import Keandre Cook who missed Wednesday night's game.
They will also be without James Batemon for the remainder of the season. He will be replaced by import Josh Adams.
KEEP AN EYE ON
Sobey fired up against the old mob
The last time the two sides met, former Bullets captain and now Phoenix captain Nathan Sobey had a field day shooting 25 points in the loss in round 12. The captain had a quiet game in Phoenix’s 14-point win over Tasmania, shooting four points, but will be out for revenge to finally get that win over the Bullets.
Sobes has come to play in his old stomping ground! 🔥
