Phoenix stars Owen Foxwell and Angus Glover traded the Phoenix Green to that of the national uniform, helping Australia to a 80-68 victory over New Zealand to start the Trans-Tasman Series.
The Adelaide Entertainment Centre played host to the opening clash, with the two teams trading momentum swings throughout - before the DJ Vasiljevic-led hosts claimed the ascendency and ran away with the win.
The Phoenix were well represented on the national stage through Glover, Foxwell and former development player Austin Rapp, the former two earning starts.
Rapp and Foxwell were presented their jerseys pre-game for their first outing with the Boomers, before Kiwi duo Reuben Te Rangi (15 PTS, 8 REBS) and Shea Ili (12 PTS, 5 REBS) took control early.
Tasked with handling the ball in Dean Vickerman's offence, Foxwell showed his skills getting to the rim and finishing, but also his wares to find his teammates with two assists.
One of Foxwell's dimes was textbook Phoenix play, finding Glover in the corner for three and no doubt exciting the Phoenix fans watching at home.
Glover showed his range from deep, drilling two threes to finish with 10 points and seven rebounds for the night.
Adelaide's DJ Vasiljevic was the only player on either side to register more than 20 points, finishing with 23 points, four rebounds and two assists in a player of the match performance.
The Boomers next take on the Tall Blacks on Friday on the Sunshine Coast.
