The South East Melbourne Phoenix can today confirm the release of Gorjok Gak from the remainder of his contract, effective immediately.
Gak, who played with the Phoenix during the NBL24 and NBL26 seasons, has requested to pursue overseas playing opportunities.
Phoenix General Manager of Basketball Operations Simon Mitchell thanked Gak for his contributions to the club over two seasons.
“Gorjok was a rock solid teammate, and always a pleasure to have in the gym” Mitchell said.
“Whilst we’re disappointed to see Gorjok leave the Heartland, we fully support and respect his want for more playing opportunities.”
The Phoenix have begun their search for Gak’s replacement. Development player Ellis Biggar will replace Gak on the roster in the short term.
