The Phoenix have signed two-time NBL championship winning guard Angus Glover to a two-year deal, joining South East Melbourne for NBL25.
The 25-year-old is a seasoned player, spending two years with the Illawarra Hawks as a development player before playing a major role in the Sydney Kings’ back-to-back titles in NBL22 and NBL23.
Glover has played 120 games in the NBL and featured in the third-most games for the Kings in the past four seasons, behind only Shaun Bruce and Jordan Hunter, highlighting his durability.
Phoenix General Manager of Basketball Simon Mitchell was excited for what Glover would bring to a revamped backcourt.
“Angus not only brings with him a high basketball IQ but championship-winning experience that we will definitely tap into at South East Melbourne,” Mitchell said.
“We look forward to Angus joining the team and getting to work with Mike Kelly and the rest of the squad.”
Glover joins Nathan Sobey as the Phoenix’s off-season acquisitions ahead of NBL25.
He will wear #5 for the Phoenix.
