Heartland Heritage Jersey

South East Melbourne Phoenix proudly announces their heritage round jersey for NBL23. The jersey pays homage to the Heartland of Australian Basketball and will be worn in Round 16 during our final home game for the regular season at the State Basketball Centre against the Cairns Taipans.

The word Heartland is displayed proudly across the front of the jersey, a shout-out to the people we represent, the passionate community of the South East, Australia's basketball Heartland. 

The green background represents the Dandenong Ranges mountains that overlook the South East region.

"We wanted to create a jersey that represents the passionate fans of the South East. When the players hit the court wearing these jerseys on January 25, they'll show how much the supporters mean to them and try to repay them for all the support they've given us over the season and years prior with a win in the Heartland," Phoenix CEO Tommy Greer said.

The South East community has a love of basketball spanning generations; with over 25% of Australia's registered basketballers living in the South East of Melbourne spread across 16 basketball associations, basketball is the community's beating heart. 

This is the foundation on which the Phoenix was built.
