The move from cross-town rivals Melbourne United tothe Phoenix under Josh King may have been a blessing in disguise for the18-year-old. In his second year in the NBL
and looking towards the NBA Draft for 2027, working with a key local group and defensive-focused Josh King was what Daniels needed, and we saw what he has been working on in the off-season in Game 1 of NBL27.

Daniels had a career-high 24 points and, to add tothat, recorded a double-double with 12 rebounds in the Phoenix’s 21-point winin Perth.
