The Phoenix have enjoyed another week to prepare for their next home game as they get set to take on the Tasmania JackJumpers for the annual Sunday Funday, ahead of the Melbourne Cup public holiday.

Coming off two consecutive wins in front of their passionate Phoenix fans, Josh King’s side will be looking to make it three on the bounce and continue their climb up the NBL ladder.

It was a record-breaking night at the Fire Pit last time out, with the Heartland team pouring in 42 points in the opening quarter against the Adelaide 36ers. The effort equalled the record for the highest-scoring first quarter in a 40-minute game.

The last time these two sides met was back in Round 1, with the contest ending in controversial fashion after going down to the wire. The Phoenix will be out for revenge and will be determined to get the job done on their home court.

The JackJumpers are coming off a three-point loss to the Sydney Kings in Launceston and will be looking to return to the winners' list and reclaim top spot on the ladder.

TEAMS

Phoenix

Daniel Foster will miss tomorrow’s game due to an ongoing lower back injury, with Ellis Biggar coming into the side as his replacement.

Hunter Goodrick continues his rehabilitation from a knee injury and will remain on the sidelines. Pat Ryan will replace him in the team.

Tasmania

The JackJumpers will be without import David Johnson (calf), Ben Gold (foot), Ben Ayre (hip) and Majok Deng (fibula) for their trip to Melbourne.

KEEP AN EYE ON

Hot hands Glover

Sunday will mark game 199 for NBL26 Sixth Man of the Year Angus Glover, who is coming off a standout performance against the 36ers, finishing with 20 points and six three-pointers in the win.

Glover was also a shining light when the two sides met in Round 1, finishing with 21 points in the loss. He'll be looking to bring that same scoring touch to the Fire Pit as the Phoenix chase another important win.
