The Phoenix team continue to work hard during the off-season for around the world, see how they performed below.

22PTS, 13REBS, 5ASTS vs Bendigo Braves (W)

Akech Aliir and the Pioneers continue their dominance in the NBL1 South competition taking two wins across the weekend against the Ballarat Miners and Bendigo Braves.

Akech Aliir showed his dominance on both ends of the court recording a double-double in both of Mt Gambier’s wins as his side cement their spot in the top two.

Owen Foxwell (Taranaki Airs)
14PTS, 1REB, 4ASTS, 5STLS vs Franklin Bulls (W)

The Taranaki Airs had an impressive 26-point win over the Franklin Bulls on the weekend as Owen Foxwell continues to be a defensive beast in New Zealand having five steals along with his 14 points in the win.

Nathan Sobey (Santeros de Aguada)
9PTS, 4REBS, 4ASTS, 1STL vs Osos de Mantai (W)
18PTS, 6REBS, 3ASTS, 1STL vs Lenones De Ponce (W)

Santeros de Aguada have found their groove in the BSN as they had two close wins in the past week.

Thursday night saw a four-point win over Osos de Mantai with a 27-17 last quarter score to seal the victory. Back on court three days later, Sobey’s side snatched the win from Leones by a solid point. After a quieter night on Thursday for Sobey, he was back to his best on the Sunday with 18 points and six rebounds in the win.

Gorjok Gak (Casey Cavillers)
5PTS, 2REBS, 1BLK vs Melbourne Tigers (L)

Back in the Heartland, Gorjok Gak is teaming up with ex-Phoenix assistant coach Luke Kendall as he pulls on the jersey with Casey. Unfortunately, Casey went down by two points to the Andrew Gaze led Melbourne Tigers who welcomed back Harry Froling to the Australian basketball environment.

Angus Glover (Ringwood Hawks)
14PTS, 6REBS, 4ASTS, 1STL vs NW Tasmania (W)

The Hawks had an impressive 20-point win over NW Tasmania after a disappointing loss to the Hobart Chargers just the night before. Glover continued to put up the points with 14 and six rebounds in the win for the his side.

Daniel Foster (Keilor Thunder)
13PTS, 7REBS, 2ASTS, 2STLS, 1BLK vs Kilsyth Thunder (L)

Despite a standout game for Foster for Keilor, recording 13 points and seven rebounds, it wasn’t enough as they went down to Kilsyth by 16-points.

The development player is putting the work in at Keilor so far in the season, as he averages 10.13rpg and sits fifth in the league for rebounds.

Luke Rosendale (Ballarat Miners)

The Ballarat Miners had a disappointing game against the high-flying Mt Gambier Pioneers, going down by 49 points. Rosendale helped his side as much as he could recording 14 points.

Tom Vodanovich (Auckland Tuatara)
15PTS, 4REBS, 1BLK vs Wellington Saints (L)

Coming up against a top two team, Auckland gave the Saints a battle as they only fell by seven-points. Playing the full game, Vodanovich notched up 15 points alongside four rebounds in the game.
