Owen Foxwell – Taranaki Airs (NZ NBL)
17PTS, 4REBS, 12ASTS, 5STLS vs Hawkes Bay Hawks
Owen Foxwell remains on top of the New Zealand NBL’s assist ladder averaging 9.7 per game after a huge defensive game in the 26-point win over Hawkes Bay Hawks. Recording five steals alongside a double-double with 17 points and 12 assists in the win.
Nathan Sobey/Jordan Hunter – Santeros de Aguada (BSN)
Sobey: 21PTS, 3REBS, 4ASTS vs Osos de Manati
Sobey: 18PTS, 3REBS, 6ASTS vs Capitanes de Arecibo
Hunter: 4PTS, 5REBS, 2ASTS, 1STL vs Osos de Manati
Hunter: 13PTS, 1REB vs Capitanes de Arecibo
Jordi Hunter reunited with co-captain Nathan Sobey in Puerto Rico during the off-season. In his first game, the centre scored four points and reigned in five rebounds, while Sobey continued his form with 21 points in a close finishing game - going down 86-89 to Osos de Manati on Tuesday.
Unfortunately, Santeros de Aguada are yet to get on the winner’s list - going down by four points to Capitanes de Arecibo on Saturday. Sobey scored 18 points and six assists while Hunter found his footing in his second game dropping 13 points.

Luke Rosendale/Majok Majok – Ballarat Miners (NBL1 South)
Rosendale: 19PTS, 1 REB, 3ASTS, 4STLS vs Bendigo Braves
Majok: 24PTS, 12REBS, 1BLK
Luke Rosendale, Majok Majok and Phoenix assistant coach Luke Brennan are running it back with the Ballarat Miners after finishing as runners-up in NBL1 South Grand Final in 2024. Rosendale has been named captain for the 2025 season and led his side to a 34-point victory over the Bendigo Braves in their first game of the season.
The guard hit 19 points and four steals, while Majok had a double-double with a game-high 24 points and 12 rebounds.

Tom Vodanovich – Auckland Tuatara (NZ NBL)
13PTS, 4REBS, 1STL vs Tauranga Whai
10PTS, 6REBS, 3ASTS vs Nelson Giants
Auckland were searching for their first win in New Zealand in round 3. In a close loss on Tuesday night going down by two points to Tauranga Whai. Vodanovich had 13 points in the loss.
Tuatara bounced back on Saturday, recording their first win for the season over the Nelson Giants by nine-points as Vodanovich scored 10 points and six rebounds in the win.
Luke Fennell – Centre of Excellence (NBL1 East)
8PTS, 3REBS, 3ASTS, 2STLS vs Manly Warringah
9PTS, 3REBS, 1AST, 1STL vs Bankstown
Luke Fennell rejoins the Centre of Excellence in NBL1 East for the off-season, as the COE go 2-0 over the weekend, with a 28-point win over Manly and 37-point victory over Bankstown.
In the two wins, Fennell averaged 8.5 points, three rebounds, two assists and 1.5 steals in the two wins.

Ben Ayre – EWE Baskets Oldenburg (BBL Germany)
6PTS, 1REB, 1AST vs Syntainics MBC
Oldenburg had a disappointing loss on Saturday going down by two points to Syntainics MBC. Ayre had Phoenix player Anzac Rissetto cheering him on in the crowd, who is also playing in Germany, as he scored six points in the loss.
