Bragging rights and the first piece of silverware this season went to Owen Foxwell and Angus Glover’s Eltham Wildcats after they took out the NBL1 South Grand Final over the weekend.

The 79-70 result went the way of the Wildcats on Saturday Night at Dandenong Stadium, with Phoenix assistant coach Luke Brennan and Development Player Luke Rosendale resigned to second place with the Ballarat Miners.

Only three points separated the Miners as they took the lead into the main break before the Wildcats had a 47-31 second half to secure the championship.

Shooting guard Glover continued his dominance in the finals campaign, scoring 30 points and being named the game's MVP.
