DJ Mitchell (Ipswich Force)
36PTS, 11REBS, 4ASTS vs Brisbane Capitals (W)
The power forward rejoined his NBL1 side after his recent trip to Japan with the NBL Select team, and came out firing for Ipswich. In an overtime thriller, Ipswich claimed a five-point win over Brisbane. Mitchell was on fire from beyond the arc, going 5/9 (55%), and threw down a highlight-worthy dunk that Phoenix fans will be excited to see.
Mitchell finished the night with a game-high 36 points to go along with 11 rebounds.

Angus Glover (Ringwood Hawks)

Glover also returned strongly for his NBL1 side Ringwood, another player who was part of the NBL Select side, shooting the lights out with six three-pointers in just the first quarter alone. The guard recorded 26 points, five rebounds and five assists in Ringwood’s massive 44-point win over Bendigo.
Akech Aliir (Mt Gambier Pioneers)
14PTS, 6REBS, 1STL, 3BLKS vs Hobart Chargers (W)
26PTS, 4REBS, 3ASTS, 1STL, 1BLK vs NW Tasmania (W)
The third of three to return from Japan, Aliir helped Mt Gambier secure two wins across the weekend to cement second place in NBL1 South. The centre scored 40 points across the two games, along with strong defensive efforts in the victories over the Tasmanian teams.
Daniel Foster (Keilor Thunder)
21PTS, 7REBS, 8ASTS, 2STLS, 2SBLKS vs Diamond Valley Eagles (W)
Foster remains in top form in NBL1, leading Keilor to a nine-point win over Diamond Valley on Saturday. The Phoenix’s development player recorded 21 points and came close to a triple-double, adding seven rebounds and eight assists.
Gorjok Gak (Casey Cavillers)
8PTS, 4REBS, 1AST vs Dandenong Rangers (L)
Unfortunately, Gak’s Casey side went down to Dandenong by 13 points on Saturday. Coming off the bench, Gak contributed eight points and four rebounds in the loss.
