See below for how our Phoenix-rostered players are faring locally this past weekend.
Angus Glover – Eltham Wildcats (NBL1 South)
36PTS, 10REBS, 1AST, 1BLK vs Frankston Blues
Glover had one of the best nights in recent NBL1 South history, collecting a double-double in the preliminary final for the Wildcats against the Frankston Blues on Saturday night. The sharpshooter slotted10-18 from beyond the arc and as the game ticked down, Glover's experience shone brightest. His final three helping the Wildcats go ahead on the scoreboard, and more important cemented his side a spot in the decider.
The win sees the Wildcats head to their first-ever NBL1 South grand final against Phoenix teammate Luke Rosendale's team, Ballarat.

Owen Foxwell – Eltham Wildcats (NBL1 South)
7PTS, 2REBS, 4ASTS, 3STLS vs Frankston Blues
Foxwell played more of a defensive role as Glover hit the scoreboard, collecting seven points but importantly contributing three steals for the night in the 75-74 win over the Blues.

Luke Rosendale – Ballarat Miners (NBL1 South)
21PTS, 2REBS, 1AST, 1STL vs Sandringham Sabres
The Miners had a tight preliminary clash against the Sandringham Sabres. A jump shot with 12 seconds remaining secured the win for Ballarat and a grand final berth.
Rosendale was pivotal in the win with 21 points and going 4-6 from beyond the arc.
The NBL1 South grand final will have a Phoenix flavour as Glover and Foxwell's Eltham Wildcats take on Rosendale and Phoenix assistant coach Luke Brennan's Ballarat Miners on Saturday, August 10, at Dandenong Basketball Stadium.
