South East Melbourne Phoenix has confirmed that Rhys Vague will not be returning for NBL25.
Vague joined the Phoenix in NBL24 after a successful career with the Perth Wildcats and the Kagawa Five Arrows in the Japanese B.League. He featured in 27 of a possible 28 games this season for the Phoenix.
Head Coach Mike Kelly thanked Vague for his contributions to the club, stating, “I want to thank Rhys for his professionalism and we wish him nothing but the best for the future.“
In other roster news, the club has decided against exercising the option to extend the contract of development player Anzac Rissetto for a second year.
Kelly extended his well wishes to Rissetto as he enters free agency, adding “I look forward to seeing Anzac continue to build his career”.
