The South East Melbourne Phoenix have marked a significant milestone surpassing 5,000 members for the first time in the club’s history.
Early into their seventh season the Phoenix achieved the feat, highlighting significant growth amongst their passionate and fast emerging supporter base.
With a variety of membership options, paired with a reputation for family-friendly game-day entertainment, Phoenix memberships continue to attract fans across Victoria and Australia.
CEO Simon Derrick thanked the club’s long-term, returning, and newest members for their commitment and support.
“We have the best fans in the league and the fact that we’ve reached this mark is testament to our supporters’ devotion and belief in the team and what we’re building towards,” Derrick said.
“Our Heartland continues to support us, as they have from day one, and we’re seeing further growth across Victoria and interstate. We are fortunate to be part of such a strong basketball community, with great history and heritage, and we are excited to see more people joining alongside us. This milestone gives us all great confidence and momentum, and we hope to keep welcoming many more to the Phoenix family.”
It’s the fourth straight year the Phoenix have set a new membership record.
With more fixtures on the calendar, and a record number of members already on board, South East Melbourne continue their NBL26 campaign with strong momentum both on and off the court.
