For four years, the Phoenix have used Lokahi Wellness as a recovery space to ensure their bodies are in peak condition throughout a grueling campaign.
With access to float tanks, infrared saunas, hot and cold therapy and a range of other services designed to prevent injury and maintain performance levels, the Phoenix have enjoyed a significant injury-free period as a club.
Phoenix High Performance Manager Luke Vella said Lokahi Wellness Centre played a pivotal role in how the high performance department prepare for games.
“It’s a great privilege to have Lokahi as a partner and we’ve seen in the past the integral role that their services have played in prehabilitation and rehabilitation of our players,” Vella said.
“The players themselves really enjoy the centre and they definitely don’t need any extra encouragement to get them there, it’s an industry leader in the South Eastern Suburbs.”
