Throwdown XIV is in the books and it was a game of runs. United held sway until a 21-0 run by the Phoenix to end the second quarter and start the third put the vising team on top.
United came back at the start of the third before Phoenix fought back. A late basket by United made it 68-64 to the Phoenix.
It was the first time the entire Phoenix squad had played together this season.
The final quarter was a back and forth battle with the home team sneaking past the Phoenix to win by 7.
