It's time to find out who the Goat player of the Phoenix is from our players past and present, decided by you!
The first quarter-finals has been decided as Kyle Adnam inched to the next round to take on Mitch Creek.
Next up is NBL veteran and the OG #1 Adam Gibson against high scorer Xavier Munford.
ADAM GIBSON
Games: 46 | PPG: 4.9 | RPG: 1.8 | APG: 1.6 | SPG: 0.5
A veteran of more than 350 NBL games before he’d even donned a Phoenix jersey, Adam Gibson brought experience and championship-winning pedigree to a clean-slate roster.
While not at his most prolific, Gibson still had spurts of brilliance for the Phoenix and with the game on the line was often the one that would be entrusted to take the big shot. Provided great guidance to South East Melbourne players still on the roster and has an enviable highlight reel.
XAVIER MUNFORD
Games: 26 | PPG: 16.6 | RPG: 4.0 | APG: 4.3 | SPG: 1.2
Munford’s ability inside and out was a key feature of the American’s gameplay. Teams would have to guard both the three-ball and the strong drive to quell Munford’s impact. A fan favourite because of his swagger and in-your-face attitude, Munford talked-the-talk but well and truly walked-the-walk on court.
Few have put up more points than Munford in Phoenix history and despite playing just the one season, endeared himself to the Heartland faithful.
