From 16 players to the final two, it is time to see who you think the PHOENIX GOAT is.
In no surprise inaugural Phoenix player Mitch Creek makes the grand-final for the PHOENIX GOAT as he comes up against best mate Alan 'Big Sauce' Williams who had the tightest finish yet to make it to the final.
Make sure to cast your vote via our Instagram from 5pm today. The winner will be announced tomorrow at 5pm.
MITCH CREEK
Games: 143 | PPG: 20.5 | RPG: 6.6 | APG: 3.0 | SPG: 1.0
Mitch Creek has dominated his time at the Phoenix. The first-ever signing for the NBL’s ninth franchise after a stint in the NBA with the Brooklyn Nets and Minnesota Timberwolves, Creek hit the ground running and never looked back.
The Horsham product has won each of the five Phoenix MVP awards, been named to the All-NBL First Team and Second Team (twice) and leads every overall stat category for the club.
Already with 197 games of NBL experience under his belt before he reached the Heartland, Creek made an immediate impact and led the team to their first playoffs appearance in just their second year of existence.
ALAN WILLIAMS
Games: 43 | PPG: 16.6 | RPG: 10.2 | APG: 2.1 | SPG: 0.9
‘Big Sauce’ made a big impact in the Heartland in his two seasons with the Phoenix, leading the league in rebounds in both campaigns. A force inside, his rebounding and finishing ability at times made him the best big man in the competition.
Despite being hampered by injury, Williams’ impact in games was profound, highlighted by almost 40-straight games where he scored double-digits. A native Phoenician, it would be kismet that he would land at the Phoenix and his legacy will forever be etched in South East Melbourne’s history books.
