Basketball loving children, youth and wheelchair hoopers will get the chance to rub shoulders with their Phoenix heroes in a fun and welcoming environment.
‘My child not only learnt more skills, but became more confident as a person. He has definitely found next level love for basketball!’
The new programs will commence in the upcoming September school holiday period and include:
- Fun sessions for primary school aged children
- Intensive sessions for older kids (registrations to open closer to holiday period)
- ‘Rolling Phoenix’ sessions for wheelchair basketballers of all abilities (officially added to our offerings following its successful debut earlier this year)
Keep your eyes peeled for more inclusive sessions to be introduced as soon as possible!
‘Thank you thank you thank you! You made my little boys dream come true!’
Phoenix CEO Tommy Greer said: “With the challenges our community has faced in coming together to participate in community sport in recent times, there’s never been a more important time to ensure we’re offering the best possible programs for all to get active and have fun.
“Acting inclusively and offering the same opportunities to everyone who wants to join in on the fun is important to us, and the reason we’ve expanded our holiday programs to include different abilities.
“Heartland Hoops will be a key pillar and priority in our community involvement going forward.”
‘My kids look forward to the Phoenix camps every school holidays, it’s a definite highlight! My basketball lovers learn new skills, meet new friends and love reconnecting with the coaches and players. Thanks Phoenix, see you next holidays!’
Registrations for our first ‘Heartland Hoops’ programs in the upcoming September holidays are now open.
