Phoenix Partner with Drewitt's Bulbs for Indigenous Round

The South East Melbourne Phoenix are proud to partner with Drewitt’s Bulbs, who will join the club as the naming rights partner of our upcoming Indigenous Round game.
The Phoenix take on the Cairns Taipans on Sunday, November 10 at John Cain Arena, in what will be the Drewitt’s Bulbs Indigenous Round game.
This year, renowned Victorian Indigenous artist Dixon Patten has designed the jersey, drawing on the inspiration of the critically endangered, Orange-Bellied Parrot which features prominently on the front of the uniform.
This season’s game also falls in the week of Remembrance Day, with Indigenous veteran Brett West addressing the group ahead of the fixture and presenting the ball on game day.
The Phoenix will also have a pre-game performance from Djarlo, alongside an acknowledgement to country.
Our Tyrepower half-time game will also feature participants from the local Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VAACA) and Koorie Academy of Excellence, with the kids to form a guard of honour for the Phoenix players pre-game and ahead of the third quarter.

Phoenix CEO Tommy Greer thanked Drewitt’s Bulbs for their involvement in such an important round on the Hungry Jack’s NBL25 calendar.
“To have Drewitt’s Bulbs come on board and support us in putting on a great showcase during our much-anticipated Indigenous Round is a great thing,” Greer said.
“Drewitt’s have been a partner of the Phoenix for two seasons now and we’ve achieved some great things together off the court, this initiative will just help that relationship grow even bigger.”
