Phoenix recruit elevated straight to leadership group, captains named

The duo will enter their third consecutiveseason as co-captains, with Angus Glover rejoining the leadership team and new recruit Tanner Krebs joining the four-man group.

With a combined 895 NBL games of experience, the leadership team will bring immense knowledge and experience to Josh King’s squad as the Phoenix look to bring a maiden championship home to the Heartland.

“Having Nathan and Jordan as our co-captains for a third straight seasonbrings consistency and familiarity within our team,” GM of Basketball Operations Simon Mitchell said.

“They bring different approaches to their leadership style - both are well respected throughout the whole of the Phoenix Performance department, and with Angus and Tanner in support, create a highly experienced group as we head into NBL27.”

The Phoenix will tip off their NBL27 campaign on the road against Perth and Tasmania before returning home for the season’s home opener.

The Phoenix will Relight the Fire Pit for Throwdown 33, presented by AXS, on September 24 at John Cain Arena against crosstown rivals Melbourne United.
