The South East Melbourne Phoenix have today signed Daniel Foster as a Development Player for the upcoming Hungry Jack’s NBL26 season.

Foster most recently played for the Nevada Wolf Pack in the NCAA Division I competition, spending five years with the program from his freshman season through to a post-graduate year.

The Melbourne-born guard developed under the tutelage of highly respected college coach and Olympic gold medalist Steve Alford.

Foster also shares a familial connection to the Phoenix, with his brother Matthew a foundation front office member, working with the club across community and operations.

Phoenix General Manager of Basketball Operations Simon Mitchell said it was exciting to welcome Foster back to Victoria and into the Australian system.

“Daniel is an exciting prospect who’s benefited from a strong platform in the NCAA,” Mitchell said.

“He displays a strong all-around game, makes good decisions with the ball and defends multiple positions. Our coaches already like what they’ve seen from him — the opportunities are endless.”

Foster joins Jordan Hunter, Nathan Sobey, Angus Glover, Owen Foxwell and Akech Aliir as confirmed signings ahead of the Hungry Jack’s NBL26 season.
