At 6”10, 22-year-old Biggar is one of Victoria’s emerging big men.
Biggar has played for the Dandenong Rangers, Nunawading Spectres and Melbourne Tigers in the NBL1 South competition, and has been elevated from a training player position after working out with the Phoenix last season.
Phoenix General Manager of Basketball Operations Simon Mitchell said Biggar was on the club’s radar for a long time before officially signing.
“Ellis has great potential, is a mobile big who works hard at both ends of the floor. Now elevated to DP, we look forward to seeing his game develop as part of our program in the South East,” Mitchell said.
"We've kept a close eye on him for a few years now, and we've also seen how he's diligently worked through some injury setbacks. We genuinely believe his skillset and intangibles have transferability at the next level"
The Phoenix have one local roster spot and one import roster spots remaining to fill ahead of the NBL26 season.
