South East Melbourne is proud to announce the signing of Australian Small Forward Tanner Krebs, on a two-year deal.
Krebs has been one of the NBL’s most durable players over the past two seasons, with only Adelaide’s Flynn Cameron (77) playing more games than the 30-year-old’s 72 appearances.
The Tasmanian local has also been one of the league’s best sharpshooters from deep, boasting a 39 per cent hit rate from beyond the arc, and ranking in the top 15 for 3-pointers.
Phoenix General Manager of Basketball Operations Simon Mitchell said Krebs will form an important part of what the Phoenix are building for NBL27.
“We feel Tanner is a great fit for what the Phoenix is setting out to achieve in this free agency period, his length, and obviously his shooting ability will fit in with our style of play” Mitchell said.
“He’s an elite shooter, in the prime of his career who will fit in seamlessly with the returning Phoenix players.”
Krebs is currently playing with the Casey Cavaliers in the NBL1 South competition.
