South East Melbourne Phoenix has made the biggest splash of the 2020 NBL off-season to date, signing local Goat – Very Enjoyable Beer.
Standing at 5”, the 375ml elite brew will take centre court this season, featuring on the front of Phoenix’s home and away jerseys and ready to give their all as a member of the squad.
The lager was born and raised on the streets of Richmond and coached by the experts at Mountain Goat Beer during its formative years, making it a strong contender to play a major role in the NBL21 season as the Premier Partner of the Club.
Popular with teammates and fans alike, Goat – Very Enjoyable Beer will inject a mild malt sweetness and a crisp, clean finish to the Phoenix line-up.

The Melbourne native was a role player as an official partner of the Phoenix last year but is set to breakout in the upcoming season and lead with purpose as the Premier Partner.
Just like the basketball community in the Heartland, Goat – Very Enjoyable Beer is new, fresh and prides itself on standing apart from the rest of the herd and embracing hard work.
Phoenix CEO Tommy Greer is excited to secure the huge addition to the team.
“For our NBL21 Premier Partner to be an organisation who has supported us from our inception as a club makes it a really rewarding partnership and one we hope will continue for years to come,” Greer said.
“Mountain Goat Beer’s hard-working Victorian approach matches well with who we are as an organisation and who our people are as a community in the South East.”
Mountain Goat Beer added: “We’ve been brewing beer in Richmond since 1997, and excited for our newest GOAT to get on court with the Phoenix for NBL21."
The Mountain Goat Beer brewery is located in Richmond and is a formidable home court to enjoy Victoria’s most enjoyable beer.
