By the time the Phoenix head to the Gippsland Regional Indoor Sports Centre to take on the Cairns Taipans on Australia Day Eve, it will be 46 days since the Phoenix have played a home game.
The NBL today released a revised schedule up to and including Round 11. That schedule will see the Phoenix play Cairns on January 25th. Members can redeem tickets to this game next week with tickets going on sale to the general public shortly after.
The start of February sees the Phoenix playing catch up, with three home games and one away between February 5 and 13.
"By the time we get to La Trobe it will have been a long time between home games for the team and front office. Everyone will be looking forward to that game, and the home games back at the Fire Pit in February," Phoenix CEO Tommy Greer said. 'Our fans are the best in the league, so any chance we get to put on a show for them we relish."
For action starved fans Round 8-11 will provide a smorgasbord of hoops, 16 games will be played in 10 straight days in the Hungry Jack’s National Basketball League (NBL) 2021/22 season.
The Round 8-11 schedule which runs from January 21 until February 13 is shaping as a critical stretch as teams fight for finals positions.
All games will be broadcast live on ESPN via Kayo or Foxtel and the ESPN App. The 1pm and 3pm Sunday Hoops games will also be broadcast on 10 Peach.
