As a club, the South East Melbourne Phoenix are four years old but have already created a strong connection with the many associations throughout the Heartland of Australian Basketball.
Over the next five weeks, the Phoenix membership team will be on the road engaging with the many domestic basketballers amongst the many associations throughout the South East.
"When we launched as an organisation, one of our non-negotiables was that we wanted to embed ourselves in the community of the South East," Phoenix CEO Tommy Greer said. "It was vital that we built strong, mutually beneficial relationships with the many associations, and did so in a meaningful way. That we added to their work in growing the great game of basketball. We wanted them to see us as a partner, not a competitor, and over four years, we have made enormous inroads in this area.
"We've worked hard to engage and deliver on promises. The Phoenix Roadshow are a great way for us to engage with those associations and add some excitement to their game days. So make sure you get down and say hello."
The Phoenix Roadshow is at Dandenong Basketball Association tomorrow morning and features a BBQ, member sign-ups, giveaways and much more.
(Get to Dandenong Basketball Stadium and say hello to the Phoenix membership team.)
In the coming weeks, the roadshow will also include player appearances.
