The Phoenix proved what they are capable of defensively after their win in the City of Churches to start round four.?
The return of Alan Williams to the side showed a massive connection with the starting five and his domination at both ends of the court.
The Phoenix will be hoping for the return of Ben Ayre after missing Thursday night’s clash and will hopefully field a full roster for the first time in NBL24.
(Phoenix will face Brisbane tomorrow night at the Fire Pit as they hunt for their third win in a row.)
It'll be a big game for three of the Phoenix, with assistant coach Sam Mackinnon, centre Gorjok Gak and development player Kody Stattmann facing their former side for the first time this season.
The Bullets will be coming into the game with no Aron Baynes, who is serving a five-game suspension.?
Brisbane is also coming off three tough losses in a row and hoping to rectify and re-join the winner’s list when they come to Melbourne in their only game for the round.?
The Phoenix have won the last four of five matches and hope to continue the streak tomorrow night.
Teams
Phoenix
Ben Ayre will be a game day decision for tomorrow's game after missing Thursday night with a minor ankle injury.
Bullets
Brisbane will be without big centre Aron Baynes, who is facing a suspension.?
Keep an Eye On
Gary Browne
Gary Browne loves playing against the Bullets, averaging 8.5 assists per game against the opposition, the most against any opponent. And he was back to his selfless-best on Thursday night, recording eight assists in the victory over the 36ers.
Nathan Sobey
The side's captain, Nathan Sobey, is the leader they need to return to their strong start to the NBL24 season. He heads into round four as ranked first amongst qualified players for points per game (23.0) this season.
