An undermanned Phoenix couldn’t get over a strong United side, going down by 15 points (67-82) on Thursday night.
With NBA royalty in the house with Scottie Pippen, the game started fiery with a Will Cummings lay-up and a dunk from Tyler Cook.
Five points was the difference at the first break but United came out of the blocks in the second even with the sluggish start to the quarter from both sides.
A second half spark from Ben Ayre wasn’t enough to get the side within reach.
A Will to Fight
Cummings gave it his all to try and get the Phoenix up and back within reach. He ended the night on 14 points, but unfortunately was fouled out.
Ayre Finesse
When the Phoenix needed a spark, Ben Ayre became that guy. With only two points to his name at half-time, he shot out of the blocks hitting nine for the third quarter and ending the night on 17 points.
Buzzer beater 👌 from the man of that quarter Ayre! 😍
