In what comes as good news for the South East Melbourne Phoenix, Chinese superstar Zhou Qi will arrive in the country earlier than expected.
Zhou, who was set to arrive mid/late October, will now be in Australia earlier and may look to take the floor in the line up as early as October 15 when the Phoenix take on the New Zealand Breakers at John Cain Arena.
(Zhou Qi is now expected in the country earlier than first thought.)
"He's excited to join the team, and be back where he feels comfortable. After a good start to the season with a first up win getting Zhou in the line up as soon as possible is a priority." Said Phoenix CEO Tommy Greer.
The Phoenix take on the Taipans in their Teacher Appreciation game Saturday night at the Fire Pit, tip off at 5.30pm.
