South East Melbourne Phoenix is proud to announce the extension of their partnership with leading car rental company Europcar.
Europcar drove the Phoenix’s rise in their inaugural season and have recommitted to keeping the club on the road to success for NBL21.
The industry leaders provide safe and affordable rental car options in the Heartland as well as over 140 countries worldwide.
The Phoenix’s ability to set up an amazing game day and community experiences for fans is possible due to the use of Europcar’s spacious 1.5 tonne van to move their valuable items from one location to another safely and securely.
Phoenix Head of Operations Rohan Short says the partnership with Europcar is vital to his department’s day-to-day commitments.
“We’re really happy to have Europcar recommit with us for next season to make our lives far easier from an operations team point of view,” Short said.
“Without the use of the Heartland Van, setting up events from local level such as school visits and community events to packed-out Melbourne Arena NBL blockbusters simply wouldn’t be possible.”
Ionie Felmingham, Europcar Australia and New Zealand Head of Marketing said: "As travel and tourism slowly opens up around the country, we're delighted to see the return of basketball in 2020. We were proud to be founding partners of the club in their inaugural season and look forward to supporting the Phoenix as they head into what is expected to be a very unique second season for the club.
"There's been a lot of interest in the impressive black Phoenix van driving around the suburbs. We're pleased our popular IVECO Daily 1.5 tonne van is delivering great brand exposure for the team, whilst also ensuring they have plenty of room to move equipment around from stadiums, to the club and even to schools.”
