The Phoenix received some good injury news yesterday with scans revealing Gary Browne’s knee injury is not as bad as first feared.
Browne went off injured in the opening minutes of the Phoenix’s final game of the NBL Blitz pre-season competition against the Sydney Kings in Darwin on Wednesday night.

Scans revealed that he sustained a grade 1 strain of his medial ligament.
Browne will miss Round 1 of the NBL23 season and will be assessed ahead of the team’s Round 2 clash against the Taipans on October 8.
