A Finn Delaney banked three gave the Breakers a 92-90 win over the Phoenix at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre.
The Phoenix looked like they had stolen the game after forcing a turnover with 12.1 seconds left.
Down by two, Mitch Creek drained a three to put the Phoenix up one with 1.6 seconds left, and it looked like it was win number two for the Phoenix in this season's NBL Blitz.
But the basketball gods had another result in mind when a double-clutch, banked three-pointer from Delaney sealed the win for the Breakers.
A slow start from the Phoenix saw them down early before import Xavier Munford and Kyle Adnam started heating up.

With the Phoenix up by a point at the half, 40-39, both teams went bucket for bucket for the majority of the second half.
Phoenix captain Kyle Adnam scored 21 points while import Xavier Munford had 20 with Mitch Creek accumulating 18 for the Phoenix.
Chinese centre Zhou Qi continued his good play with 10 points, 9 rebounds and two blocks.

In a welcome sight for Phoenix fans, Dane Pineau was back crashing the boards.
The Phoenix play their last NBL Blitz game on Sunday, November 28 against arch-rival Melbourne United.
