The Phoenix have reached unprecedented heights, with more than 20,000 kids across the state taking part in Gametime by Kmart for the past year.
This is the second time the Phoenix has achieved this milestone, connecting with 40,000 school children in the past two years.
An NBL initiative, the program sees Phoenix players and staff provide basketball clinics to schools across Victoria as well as a chance to rub shoulders with NBL stars.
In 2024 alone, the Phoenix team visited 44 schools just strengthening their presence in the Heartland of basketball in Australia.
The Phoenix work hand-in-hand with the NBL and major sponsor, Kmart, to execute the program.
WHAT TEACHERS HAD TO SAY:
"Students were super excited. The players were very approachable, spoke well, answered numerous questions, and were patient with the kids. Overall, it was a lovely experience for the students. Thank you and a big thank you to the players." – Teacher
