The South East Melbourne Phoenix are pleased to announce that Sam Davidson will join the club on a one-year contract for the NBL27 season.
The Victorian guard played for the Dandenong Rangers in the most recent NBL1 season, averaging 15 points per game.
A South East Melbourne local, Davidson impressed as a training player before earning an opportunity as a top-up roster addition during the pre-season. Following a rigorous audition process, the young guard has now earned his spot on the Phoenix’s NBL27 roster.
Phoenix General Manager of Basketball Operations Simon Mitchell said Davidson would be a valuable addition to an already impressive roster.
“Sam really showed his skill and work ethic during the recent pre-season games, and his play style is clearly up to the elite level,” Mitchell said.
“As a young guard, it’ll do his development wonders to be surrounded by the likes of Skylar Mays, Nathan Sobey and Angus Glover. We’re really excited to see him grow in the Heartland.”
Davidson’s signing completes the Phoenix’s main roster ahead of the NBL27 season.
