Posting 22 points, seven assists and six rebounds against a strong Hawks outfit, Foxwell was deemed Player of the Game by the broadcast and the Phoenix fans - and was the difference according to Derek Rucker.
"His insurgence into the game in the first quarter changed the momentum," Rucker said on NBL's Overtime.
"I like how he plays basketball; he's slippery, really composed for his age, and with his size piece, he deceptively a good scorer."
Former NBL big Felix Von Hofe said the developing guard was ‘criminally underrated’, while Phoenix head coach Josh King had nothing but commendation for Foxwell.
"Foxy plays with heart and hustle.
“Everybody will talk about his points and career-highs, but he also had seven assists, six rebounds and zero turnovers. Those are the stats I look at as a coach,” King said in his post-game press conference.
"Energy and pace." 🦊🔥@CoachJoshKing was impressed by young gun @Owenfoxwell in yesterday's win! 💚

Still just 21 years old, Foxwell spent two years as a development player before being promoted to a full roster player last season, now 57 games into what looms as a promising professional career.
The Phoenix returns to the court on Saturday night to take on the Cairns Taipans for NBL's Heritage Round as they honour the South East Melbourne Magic.
