Off the back of a mammoth NBL off-season where Foxwell dominated the NZNBL and made the NBL Next Stars squad for the Adidas Eurocamp in Italy, he will again don the Green and Gold after debuting in March.

Glover earns another cap for his country, fresh off being the standout performer for the NBL Select team that recently toured Japan in a two-game exhibition.

Melbourne United coach Dean Vickerman will once again be part of the coaching staff, alongside incoming head coach Adam Caporn.

The one-off fixture against the Buffaloes will be instrumental in preparing for the FIBA Asia Cup in Saudi Arabia in August, where Australia remain undefeated across the two tournaments they’ve competed in.

“FIBA preparation windows are extremely short, so we need to hit the ground running from day one of camp. Our departments are already hard at work to ensure we are highly organised and make the most of every minute together,” said Caporn.

“We’ll have a good mix of experienced Boomers and players getting their first taste of international tournament play at this level. So, we expect the learning curve to be steep and will embrace the opportunity to also grow as a group.”

The Boomers play the UC Buffaloes on July 31 at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre.
