Meet the Members: Brooklyn and Boston

This Sunday, South East Melbourne Phoenix will celebrate their loyal members for their Member Appreciation Game at their final home game at the Fire Pit.

Brothers Brooklyn and Boston are dedicated Phoenix members with five-year-old Brooklyn joining as a member just this season.

The love the boys have for the club even went as far as young Boston dying his hair blonde like Mitch Creek.

Enjoy a little Q&A from the brothers.

How long have you been a member for Phoenix?

Boston: I’ve been a member for 2 years.
Brooklyn: I’ve been a member for 1 year.

What made you want to be a member for the Phoenix?

Boston: Because they are so good, and I love seeing them play and talking to them after the game.
Brooklyn: Because they dunk and always win! They are the best.

(Boston dyed his hair bleech blonde like his favourite player Creek.)

Have you been a fan of basketball for your whole life?

Boston: Yes, I have! I also play for Ferntree Gully Falcons under 8s.
Brooklyn: Yes, I have!

What has been a Phoenix highlight since you have joined?

Boston: I love it when Junior did an alley oop!!! Also getting to see them after a game.
Brooklyn: Seeing the players after the game. 

What’s your favourite part of supporting the Phoenix?

Boston: Cause I get to come and watch them every week and sometimes get a FREE burger!
Brooklyn: They are just so good, once I was on the TV.

Do you feel like the club appreciates and gives back to the members and why?

Boston: Yes, the players are always nice to me.
Brooklyn: Yes the actually do, they sign stuff.

Who is your favourite past/current player?

Boston: Always Mitch Creek (I changed my hair to look like him), but I like all of them.
Brooklyn: Mitch Creek

Why should other Phoenix fans join as a member?

Boston: It's so fun and it's free, unless you buy chicken and chips. (Mum, Tineale said: Someone doesn’t know that I actually pay for the membership haha)
Brooklyn: Cause they are the best that’s why!!!!!!
