The Phoenix family is about to get a whole lot cuter with the announcement of a new partnership with pet care company PETZYO.
PETZYO is set to keep the pups of the Heartland (the furry ones, not Dane Pineau) happy and healthy with their delicious ethically-sourced dog food delivered straight to your door.
(Although Dane's pup Millie loves PETZYO kibble)
The online company is 100% Australian owned and provides the perfect VIP delivery service for your pup right to the kennel door, a big bonus during isolation periods.
To celebrate the partnership, Phoenix will be launching a social media competition over the coming month, asking fans to post photos of their furry friends in Phoenix gear and including a creative caption with how they’ve spent the extra time with their pets in isolation. The lucky winner will receive a six-month Petzyo subscription to feed their dog the best meal in town without opening their wallet!
More details on the competition will be shared via the Phoenix’s social media accounts.
(Adam Gibson's dogs Ralph and Romeo are also enjoying PETZYO's delicious offerings.)
Phoenix CEO Tommy Greer, whose dog Kody is just as excited as him with the new partnership, is delighted to team up with the community-minded company.
“Just like all our actions at the Phoenix, we put a focus on partnering with positive influencers in the community and can’t wait to join forces with PETZYO,” Greer said.
“It’s been a really eventful period for us off the court and to secure another incredible partner continues our momentum towards a big second season in the NBL.”
PETZYO Manager David Latimer is equally as keen about the partnership.
“Coming from a basketball family myself, we are super excited to be partnering with the Phoenix, a fresh, new NBL team in the basketball landscape. Just like the Phoenix, PETZYO is the new dog in town. We can’t wait to take on the com-paw-tition and also run some fun competitions and VIP offers for restless fans in lockdown,” Latimer said.
“As an online business, we are seeing strong growth as people become more accustomed to the ease and convenience of online shopping and home delivery, which now includes PETZYO premium pet care.
“Our mission is to revolutionise the pet food industry one doggo at a time with 100% natural, premium, transparent, ethical and eco-focused petcare. PETZYO is super excited to be on board with the Phoenix for 2020 /21!”
And in exciting news for Phoenix fans, all our supporters and members can receive 25% off their PETZYO food orders to treat their four-legged friends!

South East Melbourne Phoenix are the NBL’s newest franchise, based in Australian basketball’s Heartland. Their first season saw them set records for the highest attendance for a home debut, first NBL franchise in history to win their first three games and highest first year average attendance for a brand-new franchise in the NBL.
