South East Melbourne Phoenix turned it on for their passionate and loyal members as they played their final regular season game at the Fire Pit.
The 18-point win over the Adelaide 36ers gives the Phoenix the best home record in the NBL at 8-2.
The 36ers jumped out of the blocks with two threes before Phoenix troubled the scorers. The first quarter was a tight affair before the Phoenix got their groove and finished up by 9.
On the offensive end, the Phoenix seemed to be getting any shot they wanted and answered every run the 36ers made, ending the game with 102 points.
The Phoenix made sure their fans weren't going home hungry with free burgers and double Daniel's donuts.
Phoenix has their final Throwdown next Thursday night before they travel to Gippsland on Sunday for their Indigenous Round game against Sydney Kings.
(Phoenix get the win for their passionate ad loyal members.)
The Result
South East Melbourne Phoenix 102 - 84 Adelaide 36ers
The Numbers

Williams: 18 points
Zhou: 11 points, ten rebounds

The Turning Point
Third quarter, again.
Last year the third was a quarter the Phoenix struggled in, but this team is a very different beast. The third quarter has become the moment they put their foot on the neck of their opponents, and tonight was no different.
The Play of the Game
Junior 3, again
The stage was set, Phoenix was two points off a ton, 18 seconds to go, double donuts on the line, Junior dropped the three, and the Phoenix fans lifted the roof off the Fire Pit.
Player of the Game
Trey Kell
When the game was in the balance, it was Kell who scored at will for the Phoenix. He ended the night with 20 points, three rebounds, and two assists.
(Kell turned it on against the 36ers.)
From the Coach
Simon Mitchell
"We were pretty sharp without being great. We could have made better decisions in some areas, but we won and scored 100 points, so can't complain."
From the Player
Trey Kell
"We got some pretty good looks we were patient with; it was just one of those games that we didn't get a wrong look."
