South East Melbourne Phoenix will be hosting their NBL21 ‘Go Green’ game on Wednesday night in collaboration with their partners, Pact Solar.
To celebrate World Environment Day on Friday, the Phoenix and Pact Solar will be pushing the message of ‘generation restoration’ to actively make a positive difference to the environment in our community.
Pact Solar are a family-owned and operated solar power business located in South East Melbourne, and an Official Partner of the Phoenix.
The Phoenix will be wearing special green jerseys for the game against the Bullets to recognise the occasion.
Originally scheduled for a home crowd at John Cain Arena, the Victorian COVID-19 outbreak has forced the event to be moved to the Cairns Pop-Up Arena without fans.
“We’re really excited to be partnering with Pact Solar on such a positive initiative that stretches far beyond basketball,” Phoenix CEO Tommy Greer said.
“It’s unfortunate we can’t host the game to its full potential in front of our home fans at John Cain Arena, but we look forward to continuing this initiative for years to come.”
This week as part of World Environment Day, people are reminded that we are the generation who can make peace with nature.
A pre-sale of the Phoenix's Go Green jersey is available on our online store now. Orders must be made by midnight Sunday (June 6).
